Dr. Eric Robertson
It is with great enthusiasm and honor that I join the Main Elementary School community as your assistant principal. I realize the great responsibility that I have to inspire, empower, and influence our students. Therefore, I bring to Main almost 15 years experience as an educator from the primary, elementary, middle, high, and alternative school levels. I have also served in the United States Marine Corps for 8 years. While serving in the military, I earned my Associates of Arts in General Studies and Bachelor of Science in Mathematics/Communications. My additional educational college experience includes completing my Masters of Education in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, Education Specialist in Educational Leadership, and Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership with a specialization in Special Education Leadership. As for my leadership experience, I have served as a former Mathematics Department Chair, Special Education Department Co-Chair, SPED Instructional Coach, and Faith-Based Liaison. I have also provided professional learning and development in the areas of Mathematics Specialized Instruction and Implementation of Instructional Strategies through various technology platforms across curriculum at the district level. I have also written instructional plans and developed activities coupled with resources to help teachers close the achievement gaps for students in the school system. My passion is developing positive relationships with everyone within the community, working with students as they grow, supporting administrators, teachers, and staff so that they can reach their greatest potential, strengthening a connection between school and home, and fostering a positive school culture. I have been able to fill this passion through my iFOCUS programs, which focused on the faith-based community for building relationships, STEAM feeder school program for advanced academics, and family engagement for parental involvement. My ultimate goal is to release power to empower all stakeholders of Main Elementary School to ensure that all students graduate prepared for college or work.
